Just what I've been looking for in our area - a locally owned hardware store that has great customer focused service. Prices and much of the selection the same as the big box stores. Yet they seem to have more employees than the box stores and are very willing to help. Very worth shopping here - get exactly what I need and support a local business.

Homeowners with a sense of community and a general misunderstanding of tools (like me) will find this store a blessing...especially die-hard Yankees (like me). The men and women of Tchefuncte Hardware don't laugh at me when I come in asking for "large objects that are heavy and are used to 'do stuff' around the yard". They actually probe my stupidity and really help. This is comforting. Even my wife comes in to witness their professionalism vs. my ineptitude. Love you guys!
Was a good place to shop until today. Purchased a product and used as instructions suggested but product did not perform as stated. Brought back to Ace and was told I didn't use the product correctly. I know how to read and explained the procedure of how I correctly utilized the product. Still was not issued a $10 refund. ..I'm now at the big box where I don't have to deal with nickel and dime issues that waste my time.
